Bittersweet Memories

There comes a point when everything must either end or begin. Like meeting a friend, graduating high school, finishing your driving test; it can be anything.

Sometimes a goodbye is forever, and other times it’s not. For me, this isn’t forever. This isn’t even until I die or anything. This goodbye is simply goodbye for now, and I’ll see you again soon.

I’ve been here in Colorado Springs since February 4th and while the hello was a long time coming, and pretty amazing… the goodbye is bittersweet. I don’t really want to leave Colorado Springs, but at the same time, I really miss my boys. I really miss my life in Virginia too. I know I’ll move out here someday, but I can’t wait for that. For now, I’m going to pack up my bags, hug my best friend/sister goodbye, and I’ll head back to Virginia to my boys.

Liliana has been such a dream during our adventure out here, and I couldn’t have it any other way. She really is such an angel. I didn’t really have the mental capacity to compose myself enough to pull out my camera and vlog more. This daily vlogging deal that I want to start is a bit harder than I thought. Some people don’t want to be recorded, some locations don’t allow it (like stores oddly enough) and sometimes I just space. So it’s something I’m trying to come to terms with to handle better. Maybe I will, maybe not.

My time out here has been pretty incredible. I may not have gotten to see all of the things I wanted to see, but I know I’ll come out again. However, it doesn’t seem soon enough. The mountains are beautiful, and I won’t ever forget the view as I approached the Garden of the Gods. The mountains in the distance were like something you think you will never see in life. Like a 3D card, or a background wallpaper. It was beautiful and literally breathtaking.

Tami tells me it never gets old. I’m hoping that’s true because I need something like that. The view alone calms and relaxes me.

Well, until next time.

Computer Parts

I’m changing how I label my blog posts, so no more dates. The dates kind of already exist on each post. On to the blog!

I’m actually really excited. Ray and I have finally managed our Finances to the point where we could build me a new computer. Everyone I game with knows I need it. I have an Alienware M17x (2011) and I actually got Caps from Blizzard when I sent my laptop specs, and they said:

“Your wireless Network adapter is 5 YEARS OUT OF DATE!!!”

Haha. It’s a bad day when even big gaming companies are telling you you’re wrong. In my defense, I had just reloaded windows and everything on my laptop and I wasn’t finished installing and updating all of the drivers.

Anyway, I meant to build a new computer back in April, but it didn’t happen. Now we can build it, and it cost less than a pre-built gaming tower would cost. So I’m really excited for this new computer. I have one monitor so I will eventually need to look for a new one, especially since the colors on mine are off, and the monitor is probably older than my Alienware. I’d assume it’s about, 7 years old? I can use my keyboard and mouse, so I don’t need to worry about that either. I’m so excited, I just can’t express it enough.

I am working really hard on my vlogging channel on YouTube. I’ve actually seen an increase in subscribers which makes me pretty excited. I’d be shocked if I made it to just 200! Anything beyond that is just crazy.

I don’t want to make this blog post too long, so I’m going to end it here. I may post again today, I might not. Have a good one guys!

July 31, 2016 – Nothing…

I never really gave it much thought, but figuring out what to do in my free time is always used minimally. It’s a toss up between browsing my Facebook timeline over and over, re-pinning new ways to do my house, watching repeated Hulu and Netflix streams, or being puzzled over which video game to play. I feel like I never use my free time wisely.

I’ve graduated from College and I received my certificate just Yesterday! It’s already been shared on Facebook, Framed, and is waiting for the perfect spot to be displayed. I didn’t buy a frame with a stand, just a frame with nail slots. I’ll buy a better one after I get a new job! I’m so excited and proud of myself for doing this. I feel like some of my local friends aren’t happy for me. I may want to host a Graduation party for myself because as much as I’d LOVE to celebrate, I feel like I should throw a party because it is a huge accomplishment. It’s a life changing accomplishment and it deserves recognition.

Mason, Aidan and Liliana have been spending their days rather averagely. What I mean by this is my sons spend their time wanting to watch Netflix, play video games, or watch TV. Liliana destroys the house. It’s been like this for a week and I as a mom, just want them to go outside. SO I picked up something that will help get them in the right direction. I’m going to be working on it over the next few days, and I hope it does what I need. I’ll be sharing it when I’m done, so just be patient. I’m trying to work on a lot… and procrastination is my biggest issue right now.

Well, until next time. I hope you enjoyed this read. 🙂

June 12, 2016

I didn’t expect to get any response at all on previous blog posts, so first, thank you. It brightened my day after it had registered that the likes were on my blog. I couldn’t believe it at first though.

So last night I had thought that today was Father’s Day. So I made a plan, posted the plan on Facebook (Husband doesn’t use Facebook) and went to bed. I got up, and to be honest I wasn’t feeling too good (I had missed a dose of my medication and it made my body feel exhausted). I got up and took off for the store to get his breakfast, dinner, and Father’s Day gifts. Came back home, prepared the breakfast, and called my mom for some tips. At the end of the call, I told her to tell Jeff (Her boyfriend) Happy Father’s Day… and she said “Sweetie… Father’s Day is next weekend..” So I hung up as quick as I could, and as politely, and ran to the office to Ray, who confirmed it. Boy, did I feel stupid.

That’s one of those moments where I blame mommy brain. With the lack of sleep, and lack of energy, it’s possible I skipped a week, mentally.

So I asked Ray to help me finish breakfast, and to be honest, I don’t feel like the Johnson ground sausage is the right sausage to use for biscuits and gravy. There’s another that comes in a tube, and it’s flavor is much better for sausage gravy. I vlogged a little today, but I haven’t yet posted it. I did schedule one for tomorrow, so that’ll be up. It’s an older vlog, but the break was much needed. Now I’m getting back into vlogging and I am almost ready for the daily vlogs. It’s a work in progress, but I’m definitely getting closer. I just need some tips for the Canon G7X.

Now I’m procrastinating. I have a final due in my class, and it’s an online final. I’m not looking forward to it because of how many questions are on it, but I’ll do it. I want the outcome of doing these classes. So I need to work on it. I’m going to end this blog and I’ll enter again soon.

Thank you for taking the time to read this!

First Blog Entry

It’s currently 3:10 am. Why am I up this late? One reason is because of insomnia. Another reason is because I’ve been working!

All day today I didn’t give myself the time to relax. Between chores, and working, I just didn’t have the time to spend to let myself relax! Now I still have more working to do, and I love that I have a new Blog. I’ve been looking for a good place for a while, and a lot of friends recommended I try WordPress, so here I am! It seems simple enough.

My tasks include, but aren’t limited to:

  • Normal mom chores
  • Mom of 3 duties
  • Wife duties
  • YouTube Vlogging (Filming, Editing, Posting)
  • School Work
  • Scentsy Selling
  • Administrative Tasks Online

So between just these 7 things, my day can be pretty full. I’m also on a whole new medication which is making things pretty complicated. I may not even keep up with this Blog if I get into a good rhythm with my YouTube Channel. So this is it for my first blog, mostly because of how late it is and how much I still need to get done. I’ll be working on this page again over the next few days too. -Devon Danielle
